What does each tutorial cover?

Mileage tracking

Seven steps: add a vehicle, choose automatic or manual trip start, record a trip, classify it as business or personal, review your history, and export a log carrying the date, destination, business purpose and distance for every drive. Start here if you are new — mileage is the largest deduction most drivers claim, and the export is what makes it defensible.

Finance tracking

Bank accounts, credit cards, vendors, payors, expenses, revenue and receipt scanning with O-C-R. Setting up vendors and payors first is what makes everything afterwards fast, because each transaction then attaches to a known party instead of free text. The categories line up with Schedule C.

Reports, tax and exports

Nine outputs, including profit and loss, balance sheet, the Schedule C helper and a quarterly estimator. The Schedule C helper is the one that matters at filing time — it maps what you recorded to the lines the form actually uses, so filing becomes transcription rather than reconstruction.

Time management

Clock in and out, monitor an active shift, edit an entry you forgot, and pull time reports. Hours are what turn gross earnings into a real hourly rate — the number that tells you whether a shift was worth working once waiting and repositioning are counted.

Dashboard and home screen widget

Choose which widgets appear and what period each covers, then install the home screen widget so you can start or stop a trip without opening the app. That single step removes most of the friction that causes missed trips, and the trips people forget are the short ones.

Settings

Distance units, dark mode, automatic versus manual trip start, managing more than one vehicle, the current I-R-S rates and your account. The two worth deciding deliberately are the start preference and vehicles, because the I-R-S expects mileage records kept per vehicle.

Company and team view

Create a company, invite members, sync across devices and view combined reports. Each driver keeps their own records while the business sees the roll-up, which is what keeps per-driver and per-vehicle records separable at tax time.

Backup and restore

Back up to your own Google Drive, turn on automatic backups, and restore onto a new phone. Your mileage log is the evidence behind your largest deduction, so losing a handset should not mean losing the record.

AI Assistant

Ask questions about your own recorded data by text or voice — what you earned last month, how many business miles you drove, which platform paid best. It answers from your books rather than from general knowledge.

Frequently asked questions

Which tutorial should I start with?

Mileage tracking. It is the largest deduction most self-employed drivers claim, and the setup takes a few minutes. Finance setup is the natural second, since it is what turns recorded trips into a full profit and loss.

Do the tutorials have audio?

Yes. Every step is narrated, so you can follow along while looking at the app on another device rather than reading and tapping at the same time.

Do I need the app open to follow along?

It helps, but the tutorials show animated screens for every step, so you can watch the whole flow first and then do it. Each step also lists the exact path through the menus.

How long does setup take?

Mileage tracking is a few minutes: add a vehicle, choose your start preference, and drive. Finance setup takes longer because you are entering accounts, vendors and payors once, and that is what makes everything after it fast.

Where do the numbers end up at tax time?

On Schedule C. Mileage totals go to Line 9, and your recorded expenses map to the lines the form uses. The reports tutorial covers the Schedule C helper that does that mapping for you.
